At Divas With The Details, we don't just plan events, we create experiences that feel effortless.
What if you could attend your wedding before it even happened?
That was exactly the idea behind the Philadelphia Wedding Walk, which made its debut this spring. Spanning multiple venues across the city, the event gave engaged couples the chance to step into a wedding day in real time, from getting ready and saying “I do” to cocktail hour, reception celebrations, and even the afterparty.
Unlike a traditional wedding expo, guests weren’t walking through rows of vendor booths collecting brochures. Instead, they encountered fully experiential wedding environments, each designed to showcase what a celebration could actually feel like. Every space was activated, every vendor was in motion, and every detail was curated to create an unforgettable journey.

For our team, it all came to life at The W Philadelphia.
Alongside the incredible teams at The W, Xtraordinary Events, and more than twenty talented vendor partners, Divas with the Details helped create one of the event’s most immersive wedding environments. While Xtraordinary Events led the overall design vision, with guidance from The W, our team focused on shaping the guest journey from start to finish. Every element was intentionally mapped to mirror the flow of a real wedding day — ensuring each transition between spaces felt natural, seamless, and intuitive.
Guests began their journey on the fourth floor, where they were welcomed into the event and immediately enveloped in the atmosphere. A curated video installation by NE Film Co and a gallery-style display of wedding imagery from Vellum & Wing transformed a simple hotel hallway into something entirely unexpected. It was the perfect introduction to what the Philadelphia Wedding Walk was all about: taking familiar spaces and reimagining them through the lens of celebration.
At the end of the gallery, guests were greeted with a glass of bubbly served by a champagne-skirted hostess before stepping into a luxurious getting-ready lounge. Hosted by Made Up On The Go, attendees were eased into robes and slippers and treated to eye masks, hand and scalp massages ahead of their hair and makeup consult and mini glam session. More than just a preview, it offered a tangible glimpse into what the morning of a wedding can actually feel like — equal parts relaxed, exciting, and full of anticipation.

From there, they made their way into a non-traditional ceremony space, where a violinist from CTO Music Artists filled the room with Bridgerton-inspired melodies, and a striking ceremony installation brought to life with furnishings from Vision Furniture and Event Rentals demonstrated just how versatile The W can be. As they walked through the ceremony and ascended the staircase toward cocktail hour, attendees felt exactly what we set out to create: the feeling of moving through a real wedding day.
Cocktail hour featured beautiful stationery displays from Cork and Chamber and live fashion illustrations from Denise Fike, creating a space that felt both visually engaging and dynamic. One of our favorite aspects of the event was how interactive each activation became. Rather than simply observing, guests stepped directly into the moment with each vendor.

That sense of immersion carried into the ballroom, where stunning tablescapes, vibrant floral installations, and live entertainment transformed the room into a reception worthy of any wedding weekend Pinterest board. Music from Grand Central (CTO Music Artists) continued to carry throughout the room as guests sipped signature cocktails and enjoyed passed bites, including a roaming caviar service from CaviarXS. On the dance floor, performers from Pivot Ballroom offered a glimpse of a first dance in motion, adding an elegant sense of romance to the reception.
Attendees explored an interactive photo and video station, featuring a styled shoot experience with Vellum & Wing and NE Film Co. Overhead, a striking aerialist performance by Black Haus Creative created an unexpected focal point, drawing attention from every corner of the room and adding another layer of energy to the space. Just outside the ballroom, guests could stop by Steven Singer Jewelers for jewelry cleanings and ring sizing.
One of our favorite aspects of the design was the way standout elements came together across each space, from the gallery-style hallway to the layered tablescapes inside the ballroom. Each area felt distinct in its own right, while still contributing to a larger, cohesive vision that carried throughout the entire experience — setting the stage for what came next.

Then came the afterparty.
Guests were escorted to The W’s Secret Garden and pool deck, where the energy shifted into a vibrant, high-energy celebration. Inspired by Miami nightlife and poolside glamour, the space came alive with colorful installations, engaging entertainment, and immersive touchpoints at every turn. Attendees explored cigar rolling from the Mobile Cigar Lounge, captured moments at the 360 photo booth from In the Mix Event Group and the After The Tone phone booth, and created floral bud vases with Forget Me Knot Flowers for donation.
The experience extended into the wet bar area, where guests enjoyed desserts from Sweet T’s Bakeshop and grabbed hot beverages from Madis Coffee Roasters before heading out to their next destination. With DJ and live saxophone music carrying throughout the space and skyline views surrounding the pool, it felt like a true afterparty in every sense of the word.

And of course, we couldn’t resist adding a little Divas flair of our own. Our travel-inspired lounge highlighted another side of our business: travel planning. Designed to resemble an airport lounge and check-in experience, it gave guests the opportunity to learn more about our travel and planning services while dreaming about honeymoons, destination celebrations, and future adventures. To tie it all together, attendees left with custom toiletry bags featuring our “Take Me With You” message, a small detail designed to travel with them long after the event ended.
While guests were able to enjoy the event over the course of an afternoon, bringing it all together required weeks of planning, collaboration, and problem-solving behind the scenes. With a relatively short planning timeline and more than twenty participating vendors, communication became our greatest tool. Our team worked closely with each partner to refine their approach, ensuring every touchpoint was interactive, intentional, and aligned with the overall flow of the event.
Looking back, what we’re most proud of isn’t a specific installation or design element. It’s the way the event came together as a whole. Vendors, thoughtful design details, and guest interactions alike contributed to something larger than the sum of its parts. The Philadelphia Wedding Walk wasn’t just a chance to showcase beautiful work — it was an opportunity to demonstrate the power of collaboration within the events industry.
We left the day feeling incredibly grateful for the trust placed in us by the W Philadelphia, Xtraordinary Events, our vendor partners, and every attendee who walked through the doors. And judging by the guests who stayed far longer than expected and even returned later in the day, we’d say the experience left a lasting impression.
If Philadelphia Wedding Walk proved anything, it’s that when talented creatives come together with a shared vision, something truly magical can happen.
